standard aero completes upgrade of Winnipeg facility
Standard Aero has announced completion of a major upgrade to their engine test facility. The upgrade was required to accommodate the latest GE commercial engines which are used to power Boeing’s 777X. A BDI Ground Run-up Enclosure forms a part of a test cell stand that contains a new eleven-fan wind tunnel. The uniqueness of this project is that the location of the test facility is in Winnipeg, Canada and allows engine endurance testing in sub-freezing temperatures.
