Detalles del Proyecto
Ubicación: Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport
Winnipeg, Canada
Proyecto: Noise Suppression Facility
Dueño: StandardAero Limited
Desafíos:
- Cold-weather anchor installation
- Tight conformance to applicable regulations
- Challenging aerodynamics
Standard Aero required an acoustic enclosure and augmenter tube for endurance testing GE90 aircraft engines, the largest, most powerful commercial aircraft engines ever produced. Engines are mounted on a test stand and run for extended periods during cold-weather testing (icing simulations). The BDI additions to the facility include the design of an augmenter tube and stack and the design and supply of Stabile-Flow aerodynamic features for safely and quietly redirecting high-velocity exhaust out of the facility.
