BDI was engaged by HIA to supervise the relocation of an existing BDI jet blast deflector from the Doha International Airport to the new Hamad International Airport. BDI is regularly engaged by airports to refurbish, relocate, and recertify jet blast deflectors, some of which are more than 40 years old. In the case of this project in Doha, the deflector was approximately 10 years old and was repurposed as part of an expansion project to protect remote aircraft parking stands. At the conclusion of the relocation work, BDI issued a new guarantee.
