Project Details
Location: Madrid-Barajas Adolfo SuƔrez Airport
Madrid, Spain
Project: Jet Blast for Terminal Platforms
Owner: AENA
Challenges:
- Challenging site geometry
- Tight conformance to applicable regulations
The new terminal at Madrid’s Barajas International Airport required a curved, aesthetically pleasing jet blast deflector to protect airport service roads and entry roads/ramps from taxiing aircraft. The solution was BDI’s type G14NB-6, which has a height of 4.2m (14′) with a minimal structural footprint.
