The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUMSA) required a jet blast deflector to protect an area from hazardous conditions created by maneuvering aircraft. The requirement was for a blast fence suitable for commercial and military fixed and rotary wing assets. The strategic hubs of the North of Mali provide stabilization, humanitarian and life support for the populace and national and international actors. The JBD mitigates the effects of the blowing sand/dust and FOD and protects people, airframes, and structures from high velocity exhaust gases at Mopti Airport.
