The new $1.3 Billion USD terminal at the New Orleans airport included a number of BDI deflectors. Three deflector segments in total were provided to protect public roads, parking areas, and the terminal itself from taxi/breakaway thrust produced by aircraft powering out of the terminal gate areas.
