Drafting
Sharlee is part of the BDI Engineering Team as a drafter where she updates informational sheets and fabricates drawings on a variety of projects. She is a graduate of the University of Nevada Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Accounting. Education is important to Sharlee as she is also obtaining an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Residential Design from Truckee Meadows Community College. As if that is not enough, Sharlee assists in teaching classes with the Architecture Department. Being a part of the BDI team provides excellent experience in steel design for future projects.
“Being Filipino, I make trips back to the islands every few years to visit family. Traveling there allows me to stop and visit other countries along the way. I have traveled to the Changi International Airport a few times and impressed with the beautiful architecture. I now realize the large blast deflectors located on the airfield are BDI products! It’s great to have experiences directly relatable to my work.”
